## WHAT IS IT?

This system model shows how patients queue at check in at an emergency department.

## HOW IT WORKS

Patients arrive for check in and enter the queue. The wait to be served by an open check in desk followed by entry to the service desk followed by leaving checkin and entering the next system, such as triage.

## HOW TO USE IT

Set the sliders to number of patients, service time and parameter of open desks available.
